The beginning of this operation began with Sam Broussard, Sr. who served our country in World War II as a Major in the Office of Secret Service and was awarded the "Congressional Medal of Honor" posthumously for his service to his country.
After retiring from the Armed Forces, Sam Broussard, Sr. entered into the farm equipment business in 1945. His son Sammy Broussard, Jr. began working with the company in grade school part time and joined the company permanently after graduating with highest distinction at UL in Business Management in 1977. Since that time Sammy opened a second dealership in Lafayette in 1980 and later took over the reins of both locations in 1986.
The Broussard Family has now been a Kubota Dealer since 1973 and is one of the Oldest Kubota Dealers in the USA. Today Sammy Broussard Equipment Center in both locations have been awarded the "ELITE " status with Kubota in Sales and Service. Sammy Broussard has served as President of the Kubota Advisory Board, as well as the Vice President of the DeepSouth Farm Equipment Dealers Association.
